Japan's short-stay visa exemption for Brazilian ordinary passports applies only to ICAO-compliant ePassports. Travelers without a compliant ePassport should confirm the advance visa route before departure.
The exemption guidance covers short stays. Work, study, residence, and other long-stay travel should be checked through Japan's separate visa procedures.
